If you aren’t one of Laura Marano’s 1.41 million Twitter followers, jump on board, because this actress/singer/songwriter is going places. With a fourth season of Austin and Allyapproaching, a debut album in the works, and her Disney Channel Orignal Movie Bad Hair Day premiering tomorrow, you could say she has a lot on her plate. But the infectiously friendly 18-year-old is just getting started.
Bad Hair Day follows the unfortunate series of events of Laura’s character, Monica, when she wakes up on the day of prom with the worst hair day ever. Like, really bad. Everything that could possibly goes wrong does, so she teams up with a down-on-her-luck cop (played by Good Luck Charlie‘s Leigh-Allyn Baker) to help fix everything before the big night. But this is unlike any other Disney movie you’ve seen. “Disney’s never done a buddy-cop, The Heat-esque film before,” Laura explains. “Actually, it’s one of the only Disney Channel movies to have an adult as a main lead, which is why I think it’s something the whole family will enjoy.”
